cowgirl days

FelineWarrior is the inner superhero of Franque, who lives in the USA. At one point in her life, Franque had aspirations to be a cowgirl. Today she is a proud, card-carrying member of the Cowgirl Hall of Fame.

Franque knows that it is the duty of a cowgirl to participate in the democratic process, and she does so by questioning, researching, studying, discussing, rallying, protesting, marching, letter-writing, and voting. She suggests that you do the same.

Franque loves to write, do art projects, take pictures, garden, hang with friends, play with cats, and nap (the latter being mostly just a memory from days gone by).

Franque may or may not be a member of a 12-step program, but because of anonymity issues, cannot confirm that either way. She is, however, spiritual and is keenly aware of the life around her; while she embraces most living creatures, Franque does, on occasion, wish to bitch-slap some humans into outer space. However, because she lacks the upper body strength to do that, Franque turns to this blog with her frustrations.

  1. Hey, I was poking around the wonderful, wonderful internet and found your blog. I thought I’d drop you a note.
    How are things?
The holidays were hectic and I need a vacation from my time off. Tim was trying our patience, cut his hand, went to the ER, had surgery, etc., etc. He’s back at school now and hopefully he has another good quarter.
I’ve been meaning to send Xmas/holiday cards, but alas, this task keeps slipping on the to do list.
I’ll send some pix when I’m home since I can’t attach here.
Hope you are good and it would be wonderful to hear from you.

    Best always,
    Randi

  2. Hello! I thought I’d let you know that I used one of your images to illustrate a post on my blog. Hope that’s ok with you! :)

  3. Dear Friend,

I was wrapped up into the Democratic process. I have spent a lifetime fighting the republican way of life until now. It wasn’t that the Democrats didn’t stand up and fire Gonzales for not doing his job or for cheating. It wasn’t that that our president and vice presidents are getting away with murder literally. It isn’t because they practice every violation to our consitution and common decency to humanity in the world in general. It is because of my new found belief in the truth in the Lord’s Prayer. To Sanctify the name of my God and to pray for His government to take over here on earth as it already has in heaven and been turned over to our redeemer who literally put his life on the line to save ours. Even those who are getting away with murder I just talked about and he tells me to love those people and forgive them as I want to be loved and forgiven. So for that reason I have made some drastic changes in my life and am hated for loving his life. Its okay. I have been hated for less reasons but never have I been happy for being hated until now.

Love you too my friend. Lots. Missed you too.

  4. I’ve just been turned onto this blog and have enjoyed everything I’ve read so far. Keep up the good work! BTW, take no offense to my name. it’s only a reflection of my and my partner’s forever home-ing of 5 rescue dogs versus the inabilty to own cats for allergic reasons. Besides cats are too much like me to truly tolerate one ;-)

  5. Im glad to see someone still feels that they can make a differance. That the letters they write to politicians actually serve the greater good. See me im a little more skeptical at this point in my life. Years and life have made me this way.
