roots

I’ve been thinking about how we yank up well-established roots to build housing where we generally won’t establish roots.

Where’s the respect? And who wins?
Trees: Zero

Selfishness: 50

Stupidity: 50

Karma: Zero

The correct answer: Nobody wins.

  1. suburbia, in D.C. area, wa created in the late 40’s/ eraly 50’s due to the ‘great white flight’…as ‘the blacks were coming’ …post- WW II opening up of of Gov’t. jobs for them. A major migration from points south to D.C.
Racist D.C. white natives didn’t like it and left.
So, who’s ready to come back home?
Same houses from 1900 in my neighborhood. Not a tree cut down since!
